PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

The bearings shown in the figure are part of thrust ball bearings, They consist of two ring-shaped rings (referred to as "tight ring" and "loose ring") and a group of steel balls (and cages). The tight ring is closely fitted to the shaft (rotating along with the shaft), while the loose ring is in contact with the bearing seat hole (remaining stationary or rotating with the seat). The steel balls are evenly distributed between the two rings' raceways (usually spherical grooves) through the cage.

Axial force guiding: The raceway is circular and perpendicular to the axis, allowing only the steel balls to roll axially. Therefore, it cannot withstand radial loads. This is the core difference from deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning bearings, etc.

Compared with thrust ball bearings, the rolling elements of thrust roller bearings are rollers. They consist of two ring-shaped rings (the tight ring and the loose ring, and some types have an intermediate ring), a group of rollers, and a cage. The tight ring is in a press-fit relationship with the shaft (rotating with the shaft), the loose ring is in a mating relationship with the bearing housing hole (fixed or rotating with the housing), and the rollers are arranged along the axial raceway through the cage.

Axial force guiding: The raceway is perpendicular to the axis, and the line contact of the rollers (instead of the point contact of ball bearings) makes it more suitable for withstanding large axial loads, but it cannot withstand radial loads and needs to be used in conjunction with radial bearings.
